Visual Treatment: The tree and the girl in the bark is to symbolize that we and the trees are linked and equal. No one life is greater than another. The colour used were cool tones for the trees an warm tones for the face.

Lines - the path of a point
Straight lines to create length that move in various directions.
Shapes - perceivable areas.
The shape of the face on the bark of the tree stands out compared to the bark and greens.
Value - Light.
There are dark and light tones to show depth and lighting effect.
Colors - basic colour theory
Green used as a background,Brown as the tree bark.
Texture - surface quality
Wooden texture.
Eye movement - the visual path our eye will follow
The main eye movement is towards the face in the bark.
Principles of Design
Hierarchy
There is not much hierarchy, but the focus is slightly more on the brown tree.
Balance - equalizing the visual weight of elements
The left side shows more tree and the right side shows more background.
Scale - overall size
The man part covers 3/4 of the canvas. So the background is not emphasized much.
Unity/variety
There are not much usage of variation in this work, especially in the use of colours, shapes, and lines. However, there is also a sense of unity as all parts of the work work together to provide a sense of togetherness.

Visual treatment: The girl is to represent that amounts of air pollution is increasing in the world. The colour used were cool tones for the sky and warm for the girl. The main concept behind this artwork is the hair also symbolizes clouds in the sky and as we grow older, our hair grows longer at the same time, and the air pollution also increase equivalent to the length of the hair.

Curvy of continuous line.

Oval face, non-geometric shape.
Value - relative light and darkness
High contrast of brown between the hair and face.
Texture - surface quality
Sky texture with shades of blue,green,and violet to create the depth.
Alignment - lining of elements
Alignment of cloud. Bigger in front and smaller at the back to create the depth.
Proportion - relative size of the object
Main proportion is on the face and the hair at the bottom part. Go smaller as its goes up.
Eye movement - the visual path our eye will follow
Basically, the work directs us to see the movement of the hair as it move up.

Balance - equalizing the visual weight of elements
There is no symmetrical balance because there is more emphasis on the bottom part of the artwork. However, there is symmetrical balance between the left side and the right side of the face.
Rhythm/repetition
There is rhythm and repetition on the hair part to create the similar feel throughout the hair.
Scale - overall size
Overall, the artwork is wider at the bottom and slowly becomes smaller towards the top.

Visual Treatment : Everyone of us live on the earth with the basic needs, In my artwork, this shows the very basic yet the most important element on the earth to us which is water, fire, moon and sun, and lastly, the nature of the earth - cloud and grass. They may be very simple things which are not really eye-catching and that's the reason why most of us are trying to destroy it. This artworks brings out the beautiful side of each elements and hopefully can influence every human being to save our earth.

There are small shapes to show the elements that do not take out focus from the big picture.

There are certain shades of light and dark within each element.

Basic use of primary colours along with cool and warm tones.
